Christopher Peter Meloni, an American actor is best known for his role in the show on television 'Law and Order Special Victims Unit. At the age of 18, he began to take an interest in acting. At the University of Colorado at Boulder, he studied acting. While he was active in film and TV but his performances on the small screen have earned him a lot of recognition. This is not surprising since he has been able grab the attention of viewers by playing characters that are either sides of the law. He portrayed the role of a serial killer in his first television series project however he later chose to take on the role that of a NYPD detective. He's been nominated numerous times for the prestigious Emmy Awards and the PRISM Awards for his tiny screen appearances. The most appealing feature of his face is thought to be his distinctive blue eyes. They are believed to be his trademark. They have aided in depicting tough characters that have charisma. People's magazine's Sexiest Men Alive 2006 featured the actor.
